"There will be a generation who knows who they are..."

Almost 2 weeks out until our move now. We have a few more churches to visit over the next two weeks: Crossroads on the 4th, ROC on the 8th...and I think thats it. All of our support packets have been sent and we aren't as close to our fundraising goal as we had hoped, but God will provide.

I was reading a blog from the Ramp's website last night that definately was another confirmation that we aren't COMPLETELY crazy...or maybe we are crazy. Either way, its where God wants us and thats an awesome feeling...a scary, awesome feeling. The blog was talking about how as christians we all get to a point where we realize or concede to the fact that we don't have to have our lives all figured out. And actually, it would be better if we didn't. We are at a place in our lives where we don't know for sure what the future may hold, but we do know who God is and what He has said for right now.

"Finding peace in the unknown is quite simple and freeing when you accept it. First, you must trust the Lord: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5,6). Second, have confidence in your pursuit: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33)."

"There will be a generation who knows who they are because they know who their God is." Damon Thompson

And so--here in this very place we find ourselves. Not knowing all of the details, but know who He is and that He has said go. It is an ease to know we don't have to figure out the long term details.

One Month Away

In exactly one month we will be on our way to Hamilton Alabama. One more step on this journey pursuing the heart of Jesus. We have all of our things moved and we are waiting in great expectation of what this next year of of life will hold. We have walked through an array of emotions over the last several months of preparation. We have been very happy and very sad. Very excited and very scared. We have been very trusting of the Lord and then very nervous about stepping out on faith. As the moving day approaches, I'm sure we will feel all of these emotions again, and yet there is a great excitement within us to see what the Lord has in store.

Over the next several weeks we will be traveling to churches around the area sharing our heart for this generation and the american church. Hopefully we will see you, but if not we would love to send you some information about what we're walking through. Also, posted at the top of our blog page, there are 2 links to videos, taken from the Ramp in Hamilton, that show where we're going and do a great job of expressing our hearts. Please watch them. Only 4% of my generation have such a relationship with Jesus, that they share their faith. We want to change that, but revival in America begins in each of us, asking God to revive and awaken our own hearts.

We love you all. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We will be job hunting and fundraising over these next few weeks. Pray for us and believe that we have a faithful God.

MOVING TIME

Well- God has definitely been so faithful. We have our whole apartment packed up, prepared to move, and just found out that we were approved to get our apartment in Alabama. We will move our things there next week and will make our big move mid- November. This is such a huge step of faith for us, but God proves himself faithful over and over.
